Artificial Intelligence Policy

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE POLICY

PERFECT: Journal of Smart Algorithms recognizes the rapid development of Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies (such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, or advanced LLMs). To maintain academic integrity, transparency, and peer-review confidentiality according to national ARJUNA 2026 guidelines, we enforce the following regulations:

1. For Authors (Submission Guidelines)
Authorship: AI tools cannot be listed or cited as an author or co-author. Authorship implies intellectual accountability that cannot be transferred to a machine.
Permitted Uses: AI can only be used to improve readability, grammar, spelling, and language styling of the manuscript (copy-editing assistance).
Prohibited Uses: AI must NOT be used to generate core research findings, write original substantial sections (such as introduction, literature review, or discussion), interpret data, or create fabricated charts/images.
Disclosure: If authors utilized AI at any stage of manuscript preparation, they MUST explicitly disclose it by adding an "AI-Use Declaration Statement" in the Acknowledgment or Methodology section, detailing the tool used and its specific purpose.

2. For Peer-Reviewers (Review Integrity)
Confidentiality: Reviewers are STRICTLY PROHIBITED from uploading submitted manuscripts, titles, or abstracts into Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to generate peer-review reports or summary feedback. 
Uploading manuscripts to external AI servers violates the confidentiality agreement of scientific publishing and compromises the author's intellectual property.

3. For Editors
All final editorial judgments regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection must be made entirely by human editors. AI tools may assist in preliminary automated desk-screening (e.g., similarity checks via Turnitin) but will never replace human academic evaluation.
